Our practice

About our practice in The Hague

The practice opened its doors for the first time in February 2020. Personal attention, no waiting list, clear communication, highest hygiene standards and a well-thought-out treatment concept are the hallmarks of this practice.

We are committed to customer friendliness. To put you at ease here and to make you feel as comfortable as possible.

Approach

Our experience has taught us that if you want to tackle a problem, you have to approach it comprehensively. Our job is to carry out a careful examination to establish the correct diagnosis and to make a thorough treatment plan.

Our ultimate goal is oral health, and there are no shortcuts on the way there. After the first intake, together with you, we will draw a personal map of the best route to your lifelong oral health.

The mouth is an important part of the body, which consists of teeth, molars, jawbone, muscles, joints and supporting tissue. We treat your mouth as a whole. It is therefore important to conduct an extensive examination during the intake in order to arrive at a proper diagnosis and appropriate treatment plan.

Transparency and good communication are important to us. Therefore, take the time and effort for consultation and to answer questions. We work in a friendly and calm manner. There is always room to discuss options or a comprehensive treatment plan.

Emina Begovic

DMD MSc

I graduated and promoted to Dr. med. dent. in 2008 at the Medical University in Vienna, Austria. Shortly after my studies in Vienna I moved to The Hague in 2010. Since 2010 I have worked as a general practitioner in various practices in the Randstad. In 2016 I decided to deepen my knowledge in Periodontology. To this end, I followed a master's degree in Germany and in 2018 I was promoted to MSc. (Master of Science in Periodontology at Dresden University DIU / DgPAro).

Periodontal health is one of the pillars of oral and overall health. Very often the fact is ignored that there is a relationship between periodontitis and overall health, which, however, does exist! “Mouth is the mirror of health”. I therefore find it particularly important to carry out an extensive examination during the intake of a patient, in order to be able to draw up and discuss a proper diagnosis and appropriate treatment plan.

Defining a goal and being able to map the path towards it is the key to success. In good dentistry, there are no shortcuts. Because I like my profession so much, because I also find science so important and interesting, and because I want to give time and attention to people to explain everything, I took the step to start my own practice. This was made possible in part by my right-hand man, my dear assistant, who now ensures that everything runs well and smoothly in practice.

As a proud mother of two daughters, I always try to find a balance between family and work. I like walking, reading, cooking and running.

I am a member of:

  • KNMT – the Royal Dutch Society for the Promotion of Dentistry
  • KRT – Quality Register Dentists
  • NVvP – Dutch Association for Periodontology
  • EFP - European Federation of Periodontology
  • DgPAro – Deutsche Gesellschaft für Periodontologie

Helen Pronk

All-round dental assistant

My name is Heleen and as of January 1, 2022 I will be the new face for all your questions.

I started as a dental assistant in 1992 and still do this with great pleasure. I am a real centipede and through my years of work experience I have a lot to offer. In addition to assisting, I also remove tartar and polish your teeth. Together with the dentist we provide a nice informal atmosphere.

Outside my working hours I am the mother of a lovely daughter and I have two lovely cats. I like good food, occasionally dancing and going on vacation. I try to enjoy life as much as possible!
